This workshop will help you create a targeted resume that will make you shine as a job applicant.  \nAt the beginning\, you’ll be prompted to identify your values as an employee that are important to you and need to be present in the workplace. After self-exploration and reflection\, you will learn how to write an attention-grabbing HOT ZONE!  We will discuss how to tailor your resume to job descriptions and use accomplishment statements to clearly demonstrate how you meet the required core competencies in the context of the position you are applying for. You will be introduced to the powerful PAR (Problem or Task\, Action\, Result) method for creating accomplishments statements\, which is a key tool in making your achievements and successes stand out.     \nTo make the most of this workshop\, please bring a paper or electronic version of your resume and a means to save your documents electronically. Also\, bring a job description for a position you wish to apply for.
