Exploring Careers in the Trades: Virtual Session for Young Adults

Join WorkBC Centre Westshore & Sooke to discover the variety of available WorkBC Employment Services. These services include personalized employment planning, employment workshops, access to the Wage Subsidy program, and potential funding for skills training. Additionally, WorkBC Apprentice Services offers eligible apprentices financial support while they complete their classroom training. You can also explore in-demand occupations in the trades sector on Vancouver Island.
Meet the Vancouver Island Construction Association team to learn about its programs and services, including industry-specific training, professional development, safety resources, and workforce development initiatives. The Construct Your Future Program is specifically designed for young adults aged 17 to 29. It consists of eight weeks of in-class and on-site training and helps participants connect with local construction companies.
